Wendy has been practising her gift of healing for 15 years now. Her biological father is Plains Cree and she is in the healing line. Much of her training and guidance came from people of medicine on different reserves in western Canada. She spent 6 winters on the Big Island of Hawaii, learning from various Kahunas (healers).
None of this was done in a classroom setting so she has been privy to knowledge that doesn't come from sitting at a desk. Conditions were often rough, but in the world of healing sometimes information doesn't always come easy. This brings about a special wisdom.
Wendy has also had training in dealing with Residential School Survivors and worked at the Squamish Nation's Elder's Centre while the contract period lasted. She was also one of three healers at Chief Phil Lane's Four Worlds International conference held in Vancouver in 2004.
Wendy is also a singer/songwriter and produced a CD, "Calling Card" and is now working on a second. Her tunes are mainly folk.
